Sun to Soil

The sun gives energy → water helps life grow → plants grow → insects help plants → people build machines to help nature.

Campers will explore this idea through play-based STEM activities, art, building challenges, and outdoor investigation. The emphasis is on curiosity, teamwork, and problem-solving rather than formal instruction!

Throughout the week, campers will contribute to a shared “Living Systems Wall” that visually connects all five topics. By Friday, children can see and explain how everything works together!

Connections All Together
Camp
(CAT)

Introducing Connections All Together (CAT) Camp, a summer camp program based on the Connections Horse and Pony Camps designed specifically for children who have symptoms of neurodivergence which might interfere with their success in a typical camp setting.

Modifications include:

  • A small group size

  • 1:1 camper/counselor ratio

  • Structured daily program

  • Behavioral incentive program

  • Chill space for quiet time

  • Individualized activities based on the child’s needs.

Similar to the traditional Connections camps, there will be riding time, ground based horse and pony activities, interaction with other animals, educational activities,

games, crafts, and a day with water play.

Camp lead:

Dr. Green (Lisa) has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Ohio State University. She worked for over 30 years as a professor of Psychology at Baldwin Wallace University and as a therapist in a private practice in Ohio with children, adolescents, young adults and families.

She has retired her Ohio Psychology license and while she is no longer practicing psychology, her work with the CAT camp is informed by her many years of experience in the field. She has been an avid horsewoman throughout her life and currently has two horses at the ranch.
